I had my interview today for the third year at Newcastle college. The interview involved a one-on-one talk with one of the lectures in which I discussed my plans for the future and the reasons I want to further my education. I had to present my statement of intent and explain why I wanted to pursue a route of illustration. Along side this interview, I also had to present a portfolio of my work in order to demonstrate my understating of the industry and the skills I have. This involved talking through each piece of work, explaining the reasons for my choices in style and mediums as well as how I set about achieving the creative solution.
All in all I think the interview went fairly well. I was able to give clear answers and explain my reasoning for my choices. The interviewer was friendly and easy to talk too. I will find out the results and whether or not I have my place with in a few days.
